Governor Caleb Mutfwang has visited Angwan Rukuba following the tragic attack that claimed several lives, leaving the community in shock and grief.
During his visit, the governor expressed deep sorrow over the incident and assured residents that decisive steps would be taken to identify and prosecute those responsible. Clearly emotional, he addressed members of the affected community, offering words of comfort and solidarity.
He also proceeded to the Jos University Teaching Hospital, where he met with injured victims receiving treatment, reaffirming the government’s commitment to their care and recovery.
The attack, which resulted in the loss of more than 26 lives and numerous injuries, has led authorities to impose a 48-hour curfew in Jos North Local Government Area in a bid to restore calm and prevent further violence.
Residents have been urged to remain peaceful and cooperate with security agencies as efforts continue to bring the perpetrators to justice.
