President Tinubu has officially sworn in Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas (retired) as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State today, Wednesday, the 19th day of Match, 2025.
This follows the declaration of a state of emergency in the state, citing political instability and security tension. As regards to this, Governor Fubara, his deputy, and all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have been suspended for an interval of six-month.
It would be recalled that President Tinubu appointed Ibas on Tuesday evening to run the affairs of Rivers State after declaring a state of emergency on the state.
This current development has thrown a lot of reactions in River state.
