Russia Confirmed Putin's Meeting With President Trump Amid Plan To End Ukraine War

Russia has confirmed that President Vladimir Putin will meet with former President Donald Trump to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.

However, there are currently no plans for a meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Russian deputy UN Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy.

He mentioned that there are some potential locations for the Trump-Putin meeting, which might happen next week, although details are not disclosed.

Polyanskiy confirmed he hasn't heard of any plans for a meeting with Zelensky but did not completely rule it out.

He added that the last meeting between a US President and Putin was in June 2021 when Putin met Joe Biden. There have been no summits between Russian and US leaders since then.
