President Bola Tinubu stated that Nigerians should not be poor and emphasized his government's focus on supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) during the 8th Expanded National MSME Clinic in Abuja.
He highlighted Nigeria's vast resources as crucial for national prosperity and noted that Cross River State has fertile land suitable for diverse crops.
The government plans to plant 100 million oil palm trees, with Cross River taking a central role.Tinubu mentioned efforts to ensure access to capital and support for innovative ventures since taking office. He praised Cross River's new communication and technology hub for MSMEs, which will provide affordable internet and resources for learning and innovation.
The president emphasized that his administration aims to create an environment where MSMEs can thrive, not just through loans or grants but by building a supportive ecosystem.
Governor Bassey Otu described the clinic as a joint effort between the state and federal government to boost entrepreneurship and the local economy.
